Greenville, WI - The United States Postal Service (USPS) has been made aware of the recent parking restrictions imposed by the Six Estates Homeowners Association (HOA), which affects how postal employees can park inside the neighborhood. We would like to take this opportunity to express our thoughts on the matter, as this affects all of us working in the USPS.
We fully appreciate the association's desire to maintain the aesthetic appeal of your community, and we understand that the regulations in place are meant to preserve a certain image. That said, we would like to remind the HOA that the employees of the Postal Service, who work tirelessly to deliver your mail, really don't care about where we park, especially after we get to your little gated community after delivering for the past 6 hours.
Occasionally, when faced with very unforeseen circumstances, our carriers may need to use non-standard parking options, such as the side of a sidewalk, or maybe even the edge of a lawn. While this might not align perfectly with the vision of a perfectly ordered neighborhood, it is, as you might imagine, sometimes an unfortunate necessity to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of your mail.
Our employees will continue to park however we please when we deliver mail to your neighborhood. Because we're the United States Postal Service. Who's gonna stop us? We're FEDS. That's right.. FEDS. The cool guys. Not as cool as the FBI Feds, but we are ones. We're scary. Be scared. Yeah. Uh huh. We got the final say.
